Feeling glum.. Raise my spirits please!

Ok so. I have lost weight for all the three weeks I have been doing slimming world which is fab and I'm loving it.

But now I am in that 3rd week I have noticed I am getting a bit cheeky with my syns.

In the first week I made sure I never went over 8 - 10 syns, tried to save them for my cheat day so I didn't feel so guilty.
But now I notice myself clocking up my 15 syns a day with naughty chocolate treats. I can't get through the day without chocolate, it's just impossible. But by the end of the day I feel so heavy and fat. I am not feeling body positive like I have done for the past couple of weeks :(

I feel like a complete failure even though I am not going over or anything.

I think my body is telling itself that I cannot eat all this food that I do and still loose weight..

Help me!
 
Don't feel bad you narna! That's exactly what syns are there for, so you don't feel deprived or like you have failed in someway.

You need to get your head around the fact that sw is NOT a DIET. It is a HEALTHY BALANCED way of eating. Once you do you will realise that what you are doing is perfectly fine, and you are losing weight too, so keep up the good work! Xx
 
Don't feel bad! If you are loosing and eating chocolate then thats a bonus isnt it!? Ive only been doing it for 5 weeks and I must admit I am currently very motivated and havent eaten any chocolate/crisps etc since I started but I know that when i do want some I will just have it because the last thing u want to do is deny yourself treats which will eventually lead to a full on binge. As the above post said, it's not a diet its a change of life so you can't not eat chocolate for life that would just be silly and boring :p Maybe try working out a little more, and sometimes instead of reaching for chocolate eat some speed food to boost your weightloss and as you start to see changes in your body you will be have your head held high again :):):) good luck xx
 
You are allowed up to 15 syns and it doesn't really matter what you use them for.

Your body isn't telling itself anything - how on earth could it?

Stop telling yourself you are a failure, because if you keep saying that you will end up making it true. And it isn't true, which you know very well, as you are losing weight every week.
 
I've lost 1 stone 6 lbs now and I have a Costa skinny latte and a chocolate bar curly wurly every day.

Syns are there to be used, trust the plan it works
 
Thanks everyone! It is just so hard to get my head around it! I feel like I should be stricter with my food as I am not eating enough speed foods at the moment..

You're all so lovely and supportive! Lets hope for another loss next week:cool:
