Hi there. My name is shae, I'm 23 years old and have be struggling to keep going towards my goal. I'll workout and eat clean for a little over a week straight. Then out of nowhere I just find myself stopping and its like where the heck did my motivation go?? Does anyone else have this problem and have overcame it? If so much appreciation would be thrown your way if you can tell me :) thank you!

I always expect instant results after a week!. Then I give up.. this time I'm trying to keep motivated. The weight didn't come on over night so it isn't going to go over night.

I am not sure about that one. I used to calorie count and that did not work for me. I went on Slimming World and saw results every week. When I first started over 3 years ago, I lost 6 stone. But then I had some bad things happen and I gained 4 stone back. So now I am back on track and seeing the losses each week (but not during my "moon time". I hate it when I gain on that).

I don't know, maybe you might want to change up your strategy and see if that helps? I hear Weight Watchers is really good, too. The beauty of these is that you eat lots of good-for-you foods, mind the foods that might give you a bit of a blip, and regulate the naughty ones. So you get really well rounded nutrition as well as get a few treats.

Also, make sure you drink lots of H20!

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the advice, I agree i think a shake up is needed...

I will be looking at doing a few weeks of clean eating when i return next week, so avoiding processed, sugar and carby foods and eating plenty of meat and vegetables and limited fruit. This sounds similar to WW, so will see how that goes =)

Have a look at the before and after pics on this forum, that should kickstart the motivation ;)

I'm 23 to, and I am the same, I get motivated for a short whole then give up. Just recently I was really good for a bout 2 weeks, lost half a stone, then I had one night of drinking, and it all went out the window, gained the whole lot back in about a week! :(

I think the failure point for me is using it as a diet. It's bit got to be a diet but a way of life forever. I've always had success with cc and exercise. It's what in starting over with.
