The motivation picture and slimming world certs do help. For me, I put a motivational quote up where ever I know I get distracted. I have one on the fridge door, in my car and at my desk in the office. Also, in my purse. It reminds me why I am doing this and also remibds me of dedicated I must be to my health.

I always expect instant results after a week!. Then I give up.. this time I'm trying to keep motivated. The weight didn't come on over night so it isn't going to go over night.

I am not sure about that one. I used to calorie count and that did not work for me. I went on Slimming World and saw results every week. When I first started over 3 years ago, I lost 6 stone. But then I had some bad things happen and I gained 4 stone back. So now I am back on track and seeing the losses each week (but not during my "moon time". I hate it when I gain on that).

I don't know, maybe you might want to change up your strategy and see if that helps? I hear Weight Watchers is really good, too. The beauty of these is that you eat lots of good-for-you foods, mind the foods that might give you a bit of a blip, and regulate the naughty ones. So you get really well rounded nutrition as well as get a few treats.

Also, make sure you drink lots of H20!

    Hope this helps.

Thank you for the advice, I agree i think a shake up is needed...

I will be looking at doing a few weeks of clean eating when i return next week, so avoiding processed, sugar and carby foods and eating plenty of meat and vegetables and limited fruit. This sounds similar to WW, so will see how that goes =)
