I wonder is there anyone that is like me, 2nd week of s.w. and I have let a chicken ,bacon and mayo ,baguette ruin my week ,when I am doing s.w. i feel I would prefer w.w and vice versa . I am trying to weigh up the pros and cons of both diets crumpets ,bread white pasta , pasta n sauce , savory rice i over think some times and get myself in a knot . I have lost on both plans I just need to choose a plan and stick to it........ any advice on overcoming my indecisiveness would be great x thanks

It might help if you think in terms of healthy eating as opposed to diet. I am currently using the Slimming World principles (ie not signed up) but have realised that in essence it is low fat, low sugar foods with loads of fruit and veg. I am sure that weight watchers is the same. Don't fall into the trap of using the other diet as the excuse for not so healthy eating. Your choices not the diet! Don't mean to sound harsh but is this the real issue.

I love this site for the support it provides so why not scoot along to the slimming world threads. I often pair up with someone to share menu plans, highs and lows etc. if you fancy doing that give me a shout.

I decided early to count my calories and remember to keep an eye on the pastas and breads that I intake. Everybody has something that will work for them but always keep in mind, healthy is healthy in moderation. So I always stick to fruits and vegi's that I love and if I do find myself in a position where I cheat I just get back into work out mode and make it better. Having to work out extra will remind you to not make that mistake again.

Good luck in your efforts my friend!

I think a lot of people have a bad meal/day/week and start to rethink their approach to losing weight/being healthier. I think the indecision about what diet to do is simply about your own indecision about whether you can follow any approach at all. I think it's something inside you. No one plan will be 'perfect' because all will involve some level of sacrifice and it's about working out what you can and can't do without then committing to whatever you choose for, I would say, at least 3 months and giving it your all. But if you have a slip up, don't throw it all away. It's really hard (believe me, I've been there and am there!) but it's all about working out what matters most and fighting that voice in your head that's just negative constantly. All the best. x
