Yes ....sorry about that.
Went sort of AWOl for a few months.
Been back for a few weeks but only lurking...feeling embarrassed that I'd done a runner.
Life sort of got in the way I'm afraid, plus my lap top hard drive died. This forced me off Mini's for several weeks & the rest as they say is.....
Well I'm back now & need to go & give my apols to others on here more loyal to the site that me.

The computer technician was offering you a loyalty card as a frequent service user wasn't he?

TBH I wasn't actually offline but in an unheated house you risk freezing your fingers to the keyboard sitting in the study at night.

Hot drink. Duvet. Lap top. Mini's. That's my recipe for as good night's sleep.

Just realise I've polluted this important thread of mini's with my drivel.
If you wish to cut my last few posts I'll understand

Thanks for sharing your story of how the forum came about. I've only been a member a short time, but I am full of optimism about my diet journey, and I'm sure I wouldn't feel the same if I were going solo.

Great to hear how this forum came about. I used to be on Discovery Health about 3 years ago, but when I went looking for it again I came over this site. I totally agree with how important it is to share success stories................

What a lovely story about the origins of the forum. Its not often you get to hear how a website starts out and this is a great story. I am personally glad that this amazing place exists. I have been here nearly a week and in that time I feel, safe, positive, happy, more motivated than I have ever been before and supported by such wonderful people who know what I am going through and what I am trying to achieve.

I did join another weight-loss forum before I came here and only got as far as my intro. I only received one welcome and I looked around the forum and I just didn't connect with the vibes, so I looked for another one, and found this place. I love it here so much I haven't even logged on to the other one, because I feel I have everything I need right here.

I would like to say a big congratulations on the success of this forum and for creating such a kind and bright atmosphere. And thank-you to the founders and older more experienced members for the kindness and support you have shown a weight-loss forum newbie like myself.

Wishing you all the best for the future and beyond.
