Syn free salad dressing

I'm stuck for ideas for this too! I looked in M&S at their light dressings but none were less than 50cals per 100mls. I've got a 'calorie-free' honey mustard dressing from a health shop near me but it is absolutely disgusting!! Does anyone have any dressings they buy that are free on EE?

Kathy posted this on her thread http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world-recipes/317773-delicious-meals-minimum-ingredients-110.html thanks again Kathy.

RED PEPPER SALAD DRESSING - Enough for two salads but quantities can easily be changed.

Syn Free

2 large roasted red peppers - either do your own in the oven with Frylight or use the equivalent from a jar, in brine (Free)
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
4 tbsp. Balsamic vinegar - this just adds to it but doesn't overpower the flavour, celtic-chick! :D
Pinch of salt
Half a tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. finely chopped fresh thyme leaves or half tsp. dried thyme

Blend all the ingredients together in a food processor and serve.

I love a big dollop of fat free yogurt with a pinch of paprika and some herbs mixed in - vary it depending on what you're having. I often use Italian mix, or mint... X

I really love Kraft fat free Italian dressing, Asda is the only place that sells it (Tesco and Sainsbury have other Kraft fat free dressings but not that flavour). It's syn free and so tasty! I keep a bottle each of lemon and lime juice in the fridge and sometimes add a splash of one of those to it, just for a bit of a change.

Not in my Asda :(

Thanks for the recipe. I'll be trying this out tonight x

Just wondering if anybody has found any more dressings that are zero or low syns? With summer and salads around the corner time to start planning my first summer on SlimmingWorld

Perfect thanks. The sainsburys one has already been purchased :)

I'd suggest investing in the best balsamic vinegar you can afford. The more expensive, "artisan" ones are a world away from the supermarket basic versions. I have one at the moment that I was bought as a present, and it is so thick and delicious that you really don't need any other dressing. They're not cheap, but a little goes a very long way so it will last for ages.

Yes, all balsamic vinegar is free. Anything called a balsamic "glaze" will have syns.

Marks & Spencer French Dressing with White Wine Vinegar & Dijon Mustard, reduced fat (1 level tbsp) ½

Not syn free but sounds lovely. Keep meaning to try it as I usually put Dijon mustard in my mayo
