    Gravy

    Hi, any tips on a 0 syn gravy, fed up with dry veg

    Been on Slimming World diet for 3 weeks and lost 10 1/2 lbs - sooo happy - the only way is down

    I made one after someone at our class mentioned the recipe, or what I can remember of it!!

    1 White Onion,
    1 Red Onion,
    Beef Stock

    Chop the onions and fry in frylight and then add the beef stock with water and leave to simmer. Strain, Season to taste.

    Now personally I found it a bit sweet so I think perhaps I missed something out so i shall stalk this thread to see what others say!

    Thanks, will give a try, if I remember right my mum used to make onion gravy a bit like that - no red onion but thickened it with Bisto original (not granules) does Bisto original or cornflower count as syns ?

    Not immediate but worth knowing......... Next time you make a beef stew put in an extra oxo and extra liquid then just before eating ladle out a portion and freeze it for when you need it. Best ever gravy and free.
