Hi there, I'm struggling with my breakfasts, in the summer I would normally have fruit and yogurt, but finding I'm needing a warm breakie when it's cold. Obviously I could have porridge and warm weetabixs etc but when a work I have to eat on the go so grab a Sarnie ( one that I've made not brought in) so I use my hex b at lunch. Has anyone got any ideas or am I stuck with cold yogurt. Please help :). Ps on EE usually.

Cook up some pudding rice with water, sweetener and vanilla extract. Stir in frozen fruit for your 1/3 super free and mix in yoghurt (syn free plain or flavoured) porridge without the Heb!

I like sweet couscous as an alternative to porridge - just cook plain couscous as per the instructions only use milk instead of water. You can add whatever you like to it, I add some vanilla essence, sweetener, maybe a HEXB of nuts and syn some raisins. It's so nice and quick to make up and and throw in a box to take with you! :)

Liking the sound of the pudding rice. Bet it's lovely chopped bananas and frozen raspberries

What about making an egg mushroom n cheese quiche and warming it up for brekkie with some beans.

Mix egg and cottage cheese add mushrooms
Put in an oven dish. Grate cheese on
Cook for about 30 mins on 220 until firm
Cut into sections and refrigerate

Pop on microwave in morn.
It's just like a thick omelotte

Like the sound of this although I make quiches never thought of warming and having with b beans in the morning and too lazy to make an omelet at that time plus the aroma of omelet in the morning is more than I can cope with! Lol

I find it so easy. Are you just doing red days as you have to hexB your beans? I only do green as I'm a veggie xx

I'm having exactly the same problem! I tried the cous cous suggested here yesterday morning and it was lovely. I couldn't eat it all, so my 3yo DD finished it up! I did it a bit wrong tho...I still used water but I did add a splash of milk at the end.

I've just found a recipe for rice which I'm going to try in the morning, it's similar to the pudding rice recipe above, but uses leftover rice.

Rice Cereal
2 cups leftover cooked rice
2 cups milk
½ tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. butter or margarine
2 Tbsp. sugar
Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan. Cook on medium heat until warmed but not boiling. You can adjust the cinnamon and sugar to your taste. This can also be microwaved very easily. Serves 4.

Another option along the lines of rice and couscous is quinoa. It's protein based which helps me feel fuller for longer. Just boil it in water and when cool mix with yogurt and fruit.

Never thought about quinoa, it is very filling. The only problem was I completely forgot I hadn't had my Hex B options yesterday, I'm so used to having them by lunch time!

Ooo i like this idea, could do mini ones in muffin cases

Hey I'm new to Minimins, and have also just rejoined slimming world. I want to loose 5 Stone this year. As I am only 16, it will not let me post this as a new thread so I thought it would be worth putting forth as a breakfast idea. As far as I know, you can make syn free pancakes. You just whisk eggs with a bit of instant mash powder (so it looks like pancake batter) and then add the tiniest dribble of milk and some sweetener. Then you can cook it just like you would in a normal pancake. I tend to sandwich banana in mine at breakfast time. Its delish! Anyway, sorry if you have heard of this one before, I just thought it may be worth sharing with you. :)

Wow, I have never thought of having cous cous sweet - I will give it a go!
