Just bought a lovely casserole dish from a charity shop. I have no idea how to make one! I'm thinking Chicken legs? Onions, carrots, potatoes and chicken stock? But that might be a bit runny...
Do you have any foolproof tips to make it delicious? X
Re: Casserole help!
You could cook in chicken stock and when its cooked drain a bit off mix in some corn flour (remember to mix the corn flour in a wee bit cold water first.) Then mix through that would thicken the sauce for only a few syns xxx

That sounds good- buti do loathe using syns in meals! Will get some cornflower when I get my pudding rice lol xx
It's considered a tweak but it is possible to thicken things with smash. I also find that just reducing a sauce will thicken it enough. If you're using tomatoes then use plum rather than chopped as chopped are more watery and a bit if tomato purée helps.

Ohh i have smash, thank you . I love SW tweaks.
I make a lot of tomatoey dishes in my wok and use chopped. I think I'll try to go for a stocky type first to try something different.
