Can you reheat baked potatoes?

Hello all,

I'm back to work after mat leave in a couple of weeks and already panicking about lunches! I'm on a tight budget because of childcare so need to avoid buying from the work restaurant (even baked potatoes are expensive!!)

I can reheat things in the microwaves but there's always a queue so realistically I can't cook a potato from scratch, so is it ok to just reheat them? Could I nuke it the night before then reheat at work- I've never tried it so not sure if it will make any difference at all?

Thanks!

Yes, often the jacket potatoes you have out are actually reheated. You just need to mash up the insides a bit more than a fresh one before you eat it, as it can be a little hard.

I slow cook a few on a sunday wrapped in foil, in the oven while the dinner is in. Take them to work and throw them in for 2 mins and they are spot on. Sometimes i even enjoy eating them cold like and apple!!! My friend at work does the same but she brings her slow cooker in and leaves them in that on low during the morning and they are just right by dinner

Ah brilliant!! I don't know why I never thought of doing that before- I guess I can make a couple at a time - I'll be working 7 - 5 (so I can get Mondays off) and will have to get Babba to nursery so want as little preparation as possible! Eek!!
