Thread: Morrisons Original Pasta Sauce

Hi guys

Does anyone know how many syns are in Morrisons own brand original pasta sauce please? It is just their regular own brand, not value or posh!

From the SW website - Rich Pasta Sauce

Serves: 2
Syns per serving:
Negligible Syns on Green, Original and Extra Easy
Ingredients
2 large onions very finely diced
2 cloves garlic chopped
1 carton passata
1 tin chopped tomatoes
1 cup chopped tomatoes with herbs and garlic
Fry Light
1 tablespoon tomato purée
½ tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp garlic salt
½ tsp onion salt
¼ tsp celery salt
salt and black pepper
1 tsp granulated sweetener
Method
Fry the onions and the garlic in Fry Light. Stir fry quickly to brown the edges then lower the heat and sweat the onions for about 10 minutes until starting to soften. Add in the rest of the ingredients, mix well and simmer on a very low heat for about an hour.

Thanks for that! I am sure it will be better from now on to make my own - my OH only likes this sauce from Morrisons, so I thought 'why not? It wont be that bad!' WRONG!!!
