Ok so I have already eaten it but would still like to know how many syns where in this sandwich and whether I guessed right! ;)

It was a Free range Double egg and tomato sandwich on wholemeal bread ( am I right in thinking you deduct 6 syns for the bread?)

Here is the nutritional info
per pack
Kcal 433
Protein 18.3
Carbs 35.2
Fat 24.7

Would you put egg as free food allowance? There was a lot of egg in it!

I did ask a friend to check it for me at lunchtime before I ate it but the website wasnt working

Many thanks
Claire xx:)

If it was shop bought theres no free food allowance, so 1 syn for 20 cals, you can deduct syns if it was wholemeal as a healthy extra, but its quite uncommon to find wholemeal bread in ready made sandwiches so double check!

Yes - 433 calories = 21.5 syns

You can take 6 syns off if it really said wholemeal bread on the pack, most are usually just brown bread though

Either way pre-packed sandwiches are really high in syns and best avoided

Yes it was definately wholemeal, I avoided the coronation chicken coz it was on oatmeal!
Didn't think it would be that high!
Thanks peeps

I can appreciate that there's no free food allowance for the calculator however, surely as eggs & toms are free you could deduct the average calorific value of an egg (approx 60 for medium) thereby saving 3 syns? Every little bit helps in a crisis!

You could if you wanted to, but it's not part of the plan! There are lots little tweaks you can do to not follow the rules, but ultimatly if you choose to do this (and i'm not saying i don't!) you have to accept that you might no lose weight as quickly
