    uncle bens rice time sweet and sour

    I've just had one of these for the first time and it was delicious, it says in my directory there syn free but I can't see how as the sauce is made with sugar ??

    Bad news, apparently it was announced today that they are no longer syn free.
    The sweet and sour ones are apparently now 8.5 syns can't copy and paste what the C told me coz I'm on my phone but sweet and sour were the least syns at 8.5.

    So of they were miscalculated from the start and they haven't changed the recipes and you've always eaten them and lost weight would you carry on not syning them lol

    this is what i dont understand, i had 5 last week and lost 7 lbs!!, ive had 3 since wednesday so dreading weigh in! x

    don't dread it, if you've been eating them and still lost, don't panic.

    Even at 8 syns each, three pots would only be 24 syns or 480 calories, so nowhere near the 3500 calories you need to put on a pound. So please don't worry about it - you are obviously doing something right. That said a bit more variety wouldn't go amiss

    lol yes i know, trouble is that if i try something and like it, i will eat it all the time till i get fed up with it then try something new, my new thing at the minute is baked bean lasagne, i could eat it breakfast lunch and dinner, ive planned all my meals out so i definitely stick to it and have lots of variety

    Heres the new syn values, its not that the recipe has been changed its the fact that uncle bens didnt put the nutrional info on the packet correctly so slimming world asked them for a break down which resulted in the new syns;

    Hi Pammy, it's 1 1/2 syns for the rice and 10 syns for the sauce, so 11 1/2 syns all in - this is for the Thai Sweet Chilli - couldn't find any values for the Thai Green Curry one on Syns online.
