Had half a pack of tescos Mexican Chilli bean soup for lunch and it was much higher in syns than expected!!! 7 for the half portion, but considering nearly all the ingredients would be free I thought it would be lower! At least I have a few syns left for a jaffa cake after dinner! :)

Pre-made soups don't qualify for a free food allowance. So even though the ingredients might have been free they end up being synned in this form and it makes soups quite high. you can work out the syns on any soup using 1 syn for every 20 calories

Thanks for that. Didn't realise! I guess I'll be making soups from scratch from now on so. So not worth spending most of your daily allowance on soup!!!
