How to beat chocolate cravings

Hi everyone recently I have had the worst cravings for chocolate !!!!!

Does anyone have any tips to beat this

This is my fourth week i have lost half a stone so far and get weighed on Tuesday i dont want to ruin it lol

also my drs has told me i have low blood glucose i think this might have something to do with this!

Good morning, I am not sure about the low glucose but seems logical. For my chocolate cravings I use either the new Philly chocolate spread - 4.5 syns for an 30g pot or Marks & Spencer 'count on us' chocolate mouse again 4.5 syns. A lot of people on the forum use curly wurleys (last longer if put in the fridge)
Hi-Fi chocolate/orange bar is also really good, if you dont go to class then you can buy Kelloggs Fibre plus bars which can also be used as HEX which are a great substitute for chocolate.

I always have a stash of healthy syns available for cravings as even if I go overboard (2 mousse) then I really havnt done much damage and can still keep within my daily allowance.

Hope this helps

Kit Kat from the fridge does it for me - 4 syns and yummy. I have it with a coffee and nibble the top off lol. Also an Options hot chocolate helps!

I keep Curly Wurlys in the fridge when I need a choc fix. Break them up into pieces makes it last a bit longer too. 6 syns for standard bar x

Yes - that's a 2 finger bar - still think that's really good. You could have a 4 finger bar for only 6 and that feels like a massive treat!!

Sorry Sally but your syn values for the Kit Kats are a bit off. These are the values from syns online

Kit Kat, Milk, 2 fingers 5½
Kit Kat, Milk, 4 fingers 11½

I have to agree with the options hot chocolates for cravings. It is still beyond me how they make it taste so good for such little cals.

As an avoidance technique I often say to myself that if I still want chocolate in an hour then I can have some-most of the time I don't want it an hour later.

PatchworkPuss - noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lol. Yes you're right but it's still good. Just knowing I could have a 4 finger Kit Kat makes me not so worried about actually having it lol.

A good old curly wurly works wonders. Chocolate philly on toast is good too.

A couple of other suggestions. You could try to make the ferrero rocher things that I have seen on the boards. Very low syn for what you get. Or, melt a bit of chocolate in the microwave and dip strawberries/grapes/bananas in it. Feels a lot naughtier than it is.

I satisfy my chocolate craving by melting one square of extra dark chocolate (75% min) in my milk allowance for a great hot chocolate drink. Not sure if I am right but I only count as one syn. It is my daily treat and makes sure I use my HEX A.

Hi there i know I'm not on slimming world, but i like to have a linger on all of the different diets and have just seen in big telco the cadbury philly on offer buy one get one free just thought id share. Im on lighter life and tend to become a bit obsessed with cooking and recipes and have bought my sister some of this and she loves it xx

I have several ways:

-I get weighed on a Thursday. I allow myself one dairy milk on both a Thursday and Friday, but thats it.
-Freddo bars are 5 syns each. Melt two, and dip grapes in. If you only use a little on each grape you can easily get twenty grapes- sweet and chocolate fix
-Chocolate philadelphia. It takes like chocolate creme cheese cupcake topping. Lovely on toast!!

You just have to grin and bear it sometimes until WI. It will be worth it in the end, and don't forget- your body is still getting used to it. I guess you used to have a few bars of chocolate a week, therefore increasing your BS and making your body crave it more? Well, your the boss- you need to fight it, and eventually those cravings will settle.

Seriously, im the worse chocoholic ever. I mean, driving to Tesco daily just for a big dairy milk. Not ashamed to admitt that, things are in progress of changing!
