Sushi - Nigiri

Moose no more!
Hi All - I promise I have searched all over for this even outside of minimins! Would Sushi Nigiri (which is a piece of rice with a slice of raw fish on top) be free on EE? On the face of it I say yes as it's just white rice and fish, however i don't know if they cook the rice with anything to make it stick? Just had some for lunch and want to syn it if i need to!!
Anybody have any idea?

Sushi is sticky because of the type of rice, which is free if you make it at home but I think the prepacked stuff has syns in it. Not sure why! Was it from a store or home made?

It's from a sushi place so would be fresh! And it is authentic, but just not sure re the syns, oh well I've eaten it now :)

Call it free, I would! ;)

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but sushi rice usually has some sugar in it. When I make maki I sprinkle the hot rice with a mixture of sugar and rice wine vinegar. Probably only one syn but not syn free ! You have got me thinking about whether I could use artificial sweetener. On the other hand, Maki does come with the added benefit of seaweed. Super food??

I put it down as 4 syns, maybe that was wishful thinking! Lol

The marks & spencers snack packs are only 1.5 syns and they normally have 4 liitle rolls with veg and - big roll with tuna so even if it did have syns i doubt it could be much!
