Low syn non-meat burgers

Could anyone recommend a lowish syn non-meat burger that's quite readily available.
By non-meat I mean more of a veggie burger than a meat substitute one. (Although would be happy if a meaty one is suggested too).
Sainsbury's do a lovely mushroom & spinach burger but the syns are a whopping 10.5 per burger and although lovely are probably not really worth that amount.

Any suggestions, fresh / frozen or recipes would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks :D

Asda meatfree are lovely and only one syn each :)

Sorry just reread your post and thats not what you are looking for. Check out the recipe sub-forum as there are some in there

These are soo nice. Well worth a syn.

For one syn I'll definitely give them a go. Thanks x

Your post made me go and look them up on the ASDA website and it seems they do a moroccan chickpea one and a lemon and herb piri piri.

Have had to use the syns calculator as neither came up on a search. The chickpea ones are 3 and the piri piri ones 4, so much better than 10.5... :D

the syns for the vegetable type burgers are all high, i checked as i like them too, sorry! the mushroom ones are whoppers arnt they! the asda ones and the cauldron ones i was gonna buy to try til i checked the syns :( meat free burgers that i like are tescos own and asdas own, i tried these as the quorn ones have a dodgy taste. theyre 1 syn each.

the tesco chargrilled quarter pounders in a twin pack are 1/2 syn each, chicken style burgers free!, mexican style bean burgers 5 1/2 :( , meatfree vegetable quarter pounders 4 1/2 :( ,

asda chosen by you meat free quarter pounders twin pack 1 syn each, spicy bean and nacho burgers 8 syns each

morrisons meat free quarter pounders 1/2 each, vegetable quarter pounders 8 each

cant believe theyre so high syns !! i did like them before slimming world, and the vegetable fingers :(

Hi, for a meat burger I buy the Malcolm Allan extra lean steak burgers from asda. Everyone at my class was talking about them and said they were free.

I realise you're after vege and not so much mock meat ones. But the Linda McCartney Mozarella quarter pounders are 4, cranberry and Camembert ones are 5. Vegetarian quarter pounders are 2 and the flame grilled ones are 1

Those mozzarella ones are amazing - worth every syn!

Copied from My diary

I got really sick of trying to find low-syn non-meat burgers that aren't "meat substitute" ones. Makes me really cross that they fill them with loads of fat so I decided to make my own last night. The pictures don't really do the flavour justice, really yum (if I do say so myself).
I used 4 slices of nimble w/meal + coriander, basil and paprika for the breadcrumb mix. This made 8 burgers.

The burger mix consisted of (if I can remember it all):
sweet potato
cherry tomatoes
courgette
carrot
sweet peppers
leek
red onion
finger chillies (with seeds)
mushrooms
garlic
oregano
Schwartz perfect shake Steakhouse Pepper mix (which I add to everything to give it a nice kick)

I roasted the above on a low temp for about 45 mins.
I then bunged it all in the food processor and added some leftover baked beans, a tin of refried beans, (which I was simultaneously delighted and astonished when I found out they were syn-free) sweetcorn and some raw spinach.
I made a bit of a mistake of blending this mixture too much so it became quite sloppy (and almost impossible to make a pattie out of).
I tried sticking the mixture back in the oven for a while to firm it up but it didn't work very well (or I was being impatient because I was so hungry by this point).

To cook the burgers I sprayed some fry light then added the breadcrumbs to a saucepan on a low heat then dolloped the mixture on top. I covered the top in breadcrumbs, covered and left to cook for 3-4 mins on each side. With the breadcrumbs now binding the mixture together I was able to shape the patties better but once cooked they were still very soft.

I to to this point! I was looking or syn free sausages tho. A recipe I really liked was mashing butter beans with thyme and some tomato purée. Wrap in cling film and chill over night. The next morning shape and grill/ fry lite.
I asked for a burger maker for my birthday tho I haven't used it yet..

Lol! I Know but I have scoured my local asda and sails buries near me but nothing. I have to make a trip into Derby which means they may as well not exist!

They are very nice tho.
