I have got into a habbit of cooking meals using the noodles from 98% fat free super noodles, making chineese style foods and noodle soups.

Well here is my query as they are quite expensive, I was wondering are the noodles in the asda price or tesco value super noodles free? (not using the flavouring sachets)

Can anyone help me? :p

Hi, I'm Kirsty, i'm new:) I was just wondering, the noodles you use now, the 98% fat free ones, are they syn free?

yea, they are, and thats with the flavoured sachets. Im not too keen on them with the flavouring tho, thats why i use them in my own recepies.

The quick noodles arent the same, i used to use them, the smart price and tesco value ones are handy and only 7p a pack. I would just like to know if they have syns? I hope they arnt, as they are just dried noodles.

plain noodles are syn free but just wondering though do the flavoured noodles such as teco value curry flavour or chicken flavour have syns?

as far as i am aware, the asda and tesco noodles are syns, but this is including using the flovouring sachets. I just want to know if the noodles, without the flavouring, are free?

No unfortunately not. If you look at the ingredients the noodles have oil in them so even if you don't use the sachet they still have syns. It's a trap a lot of people fall into but they can be shockingly high in syns

Look at the Tesco ones - they have 11g of fat in them :(

Tesco Everyday Value Chicken Flavour Instant Noodles 65G - Groceries - Tesco Groceries

And the asda ones are even worse at 9.4g fat per half packet!

Thanks so much, this is what I thought, but my friend was convinced that they would be ok. You have settled my mind now, back to using the low fat super noodles and dried packets. =]
