    Syn Value in Protein Shakes and Bars

    Hi,
    I'm following Slimming World, but really want to continue to have my protein shakes and bars for my weight training. I was wodnering if anybody could work ut the exact syns for each, please?

    Bar 35g
    cal 140
    Prot 9.7
    carb 16
    of which are sugars - 10.5
    fat 4.6


    Protein shake per 33g
    cal 127
    protein 24
    car 2.7
    of which are sugars 1.9
    fat 2

    Any help will be really appreciated. I know that most say that we shoudl just count 1 syn per 20 cals, but I was wondering if anybody knows how to calculate it exactly?

    BMI Information:
    Start BMI: 57.8
    Current BMI: 28.3
    Goal BMI: 28.9


    Statistics:
    Total Weight Loss: 15st4lb
    Weight to Lose: -0st4lb
    % Lost 50.95%
    I use protein shakes and it does work out at 20cals a syn im afraid

    so the bar will be 7 syns and the protein shake 6.5 syns

    I do think protein shakes are one of if not the best thing to use syns on

    20 cals-1 syn is the formula that the snackulator uses, so it is how to calculate it exactly. It only changes if something has a free food allowance
