    Asda Extra Special Pork shanks with caramelised apple sauce

    Bought this for a super easy dinner this evening for me and hubby and was very pleased that half a pack, was only 2.5 syns

    Should have added that we had it with roasted carrotts and roast parsnips (my HExB)

    Sounds absolutely gorgeous! Pork shank isn't a cut I've ever noticed before- is it a slow & low roast in the oven?

    It's already partly cooked in a bag (sous vide?), so you empty it into the foil tray, cook for length of time on packet, vaguely recall about 30 -40 mins and then pour over the sauce, return to the oven and heat through!
