Thread: Christmas chocolate log less than galaxy?

I came across this delicious chocolate Yule log in tesco and would really appreciate if someone could tell me the syn value. For some reason in not able to log on to syns online in the SW website. The nutritional values for one eighth of the log are:
energy - 160kcal
protein - 5.3g
carbs - 55g
fat - 21.4g and of which saturates - 13g
When I compare it to galaxy, it seems to be less. Would love it if someone could help me with this :-)

Isn't the rule of thumb 1 syn = 20 calories?

That's right! Our consultant says if in doubt divide the number of calories by 20 and you'll have the approximate syn value

Ahh, but only if there is no free food allowance! i.e. crisps, chocolate, drinks, biscuits, etc. It doesn't work with everything.

As this chocolate log doesn't qualify for any free food allowance, you can use the 20 calories = 1 Syn formula. On that note, it would work out as 8 Syns
