Some fresh egg noodles, the ones that are already cooked and you just pop them in the microwave, do have oil in them to stop them sticking together.

The kind of fresh pasta that you have to cook for 3-4 minutes usually doesn't have any oil.

But SW says for some reason that all fresh pasta has syns.

The other day I was in Waitrose and had a pack of dried egg pasta in one hand and a pack of fresh egg pasta in the other, and the nutritional value was almost identical. And there was no oil in either. But the fresh has syns and the dried does not, even though they are identical.

It is a mystery which I have asked about in the past, but no consultant has been able to tell me why!
