    sainsburys chicken hot pot recipe, how many syns?

    Hi all, I have cooked a sweet potato and chicken hotpot for dinner tonight. I got the recipe from Sainsburys, and was wondering if anyone could tell me roughly how many syns? Thanks.


    • 1 onion, roughly chopped
    • ½ x 400g pack basics mushrooms, sliced
    • ½ x 600g pack basics peppers, sliced
    • 1 x 241g pack mini chicken breast fillets, roughly chopped
    • 1 x 400g tin basics chopped tomatoes
    • 500g sweet potatoes
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 knob butter
    • 1 tablespoon plain flour
    • 1 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
    • 400ml chicken stock (1 x stock cube)

    Hi. I would guess at about 20 - not knowing how big a blob of butter you used. The olive oil could be used as your hexB - tbs=hex that would reduce syn value to 8

    thanks! I only used about a tsp of butter. It fed the whole family (4) and was decent portion sizes. Ive not joined SW yet, just know the kinda basic ins and outs, so trying to figure out syn value is a bit tricky lol and Ive not had my hexB today so Ill use the olive oil for that
