Lidl shoppers!

Just saw an Aldi thread and thought I'd start a Lidl one as I have recently started getting a few bits from there.
Any freebies/low syn things specific to Lidl would be muchly appreciated.
I found pork shanks in a peppercorn sauce that according to the online app are syn free!

I love their wholemeal bread, it's the Rowan Hill bakery one, but 2 slices is more than hexb, so I cut 1 slice in half & have 1.5 slices, the bread is lovely though.

I must admit I don't often go in Lidl, not too sure why though.

I did buy some Milbona yogurts recently, the ff strawberry & ff cherry are syn free, but the mint choc (very yummy) was 1.5 syns I think & lemon cheese cake was also low in syns, no more than 2.5, but can't remember exact amount.

I also love their tinned herrings in tomato sauce, you just can't find out the syns for these so I guess, not good if you're a newbie but for me it's ok:rolleyes:

I love Lidl & Aldi!! The Milbona ff yogs are delicious - Cherry is my fave!! Good to hear the mint choc is only 0.5!! I cannot believe the pork shanks in peppercorn sauce are free! I will be stocking up on them when they are next on offer!!

They have Peri Peri chicken half price this weekend - does anyone know the syns for it? It has skin on so I guess will be quite high?!

I love the mixed pepper pork loin joint, have only had it once since starting SW a few weeks ago- put it down as free but if I'm honest I guess it would be synned (I haven't been using my syns really yet - have a holiday in a few weeks that I want to lose weight for but will have to start synning properly afterwards cause I can't give up synned foods forever!!!)

My fave thing from Lidl however is Linessa soft cheese- I have compared the NV against quark and it comes out lower on every point so I am assuming it's free also??! I love it and use it in lots of cooking so I am hoping this is true!!!

Tried to add aphoto but I couldn't do it for dome reason?! My silly tablet I expect! ! Anyway had another look and it's called linessa cream cheese light, nv's are per 100g 97 cals, 3.3 carb, 5g fat ? My mistake calling it soft cheese....are they the same?

The Linessa cottage cheese is by far and away the best cottage cheese I've ever tasted, it's syn-free and only 44p per pot. I usually buy the whole lot when I go in :) The Goldessa one (dark blue lid) is only 1 syn per pot.

The Vitasia chow mein noodles are excellent value and make a better noodle soup than Sharwood's which I find cook up too thick. Lidl is now the only place I buy pasta, long-grain rice (for both, wait for the XXL packs to arrive), extra-lean mince (£1.85 for a 250g pack, cheaper than all the supermarkets), FF yogurt, and milk. The Black forest ham is very nice at 1/2 syn per slice.

PS. The lemon cheesecake yogurt is 1 syn by the way, and delicious. There is a thread somewhere about these yogurts as I did some number-crunching on the NV's when they came out, as they match Mullerlight in nearly all respects. I showed my Consultant what I found out and she agreed. So I treat them as free but I go easy the lemon cheesecake and only have it occasionally. Not everyone else agrees though so be careful. Bottom line is they are all the equal of Mullerlights in taste, and half the price :D

Does anybody use their Tenery cheese triangles for HEXA - ive scoured the net, the sw website on the healthy extras and cant find diddly squat about them. At like £1.80 for 24, all i need is a nod of the head and ill be a happy chappy with that!

Would the linessa fat free yogurts be free? I'm guessing they are, they have 0.1g fat and are delish!!

Just checked & there are 2.5 syns each. Have you tried the Milbona ones, the ff strawb & cherry ones are free & very nice.

2.5 each! They are nice but not when you can have they're muller light yogs (are the the milbona ones? ) for 0!
