frozen mash potao

Is the mash u get in the freezer section free? or syned? as in farmfoods there version just has potato listed and nothing eles so i was wondering. any help would be gratfully recieved.

If it's only potato with nothing else added at all it should be free. Surely that's not a cost effective way of making mash though? A bag of white potatoes is less than £2 and would be about 2.5kilos. That's a whole lotta mash and you would know exactly what's in it.

I highly doubt it as they will have added to it oil butter etc! If you want ready made mash Tesco light choices chilled mash isn't too synful

You need to check the ingredients list in the small print on the back, not just the general description on the front. If it really is just potato, then it would be free.
