Extra Easy Days: Tilda Rice Help!

Hi Everyone,

Back on plan since Last week and going it solo!

Have all the literature from before Xmas but am stuck with Tilda rice syns?!

Does anyone know the syn value of wholegrain pilau rice? Apparently it's new. There was me thinking wholegrain would be healthy... I suspect you guys might tell me otherwise!

I'm sorry I can't help by giving you the answer but I wanted to subscribe to the thread in the hope that somebody does know the answer! The tilda rice pouches are so convenient and really nice but I'm not sure about the syn value!

It isn't a question of whether it is wholegrain rice or not. Most microwaveable pouches of rice have oil in them, to stop the rice sticking together. That's where the syns are.

I haven't got the syn values to hand, but someone will probably be along in a minute with the information.

Wholegrain rice is FREE on Extra Easy when its dried, but if its in a pouch then it wont be free as they add oil etc to keep it moist.

Hi, I joined the forum to answer your question. I've just started SW (last Wednesday) and I had Tilda Lime and Coriander Rice yesterday.
The "syn" value for the one I had (microwave pouch) is 2
