Hello:) I was wanting to make smash cake and thought it was 0.5 syns.. but someone mentioned with it being a tweek it should have more syns in it, i dont understand the tweek thing .. could someone help me with the tweeking ...

Thank you in advance x

Smash is free when made up as directed on the packet with the correct amount of water. It's not free when used as a substitute for flour as I imagine it would be in this "recipe".
100g dry powdered mash makes up 600g mashed potato. They both have the same calories but its easy to see which would be the most filling, and SW is based on how long foods fill you up for relative to their calorie content.

When using smash in any other way SW advise synning it at the red day rate of 4.5 syns per 25g powdered mash, which is the same as flour so you'd be as well just using the real thing to be honest xx

Sorry to hijack this thread but does this go the same for using smash instead of flour to coat onion rings? I got a syn free onion ring recipe from here which used smash?

Still going to use smash as the onion rings were yummy! dont think I used 25g though so maybe just add 2 syns for it.

Thanks so much for clearing that up for me:cry:am gutted as loved this cake too, aww well jst have to stick with half syn cake x

What a bummer! You when you think you've found something good x
