Blended Veg / soup syn query

Hello all :)

I'm new **Waves**

I have a Sainsbury's Carrot & Corriander soup, which I'm working out the syns for. I've gone onto the syn calculator and if I enter that it has carrot as "free food allowance" then all the nutritional information, it comes up as 1 syn for half a pot (brill), but if I don't enter the Carrot first, it comes up at 4.5 syns, as it does in the search function.

Why is this, anyone know? The carrot is still good, it's so frustrating that this would appear to be more syns that it should be?!

Thanks in advance! xx

All shop-bought soups have to be synned as they don't contain a free food allowance so you can always work them out by the 1 syn = 20 cal rule, this is the same for jar sauces of any kind etc.

I've checked the app and it is 4.5 syns for half of the carton. Some soups can be used as HEXB choices but I'm not sure about this one.
I find it's much better to make my own soups and then they are syn free because I'd rather use my syns on other things but in the grand scheme if things at 4.5 syns you'll feel much fuller for longer with soup than spending the syns on say a bag of crisps so it's not too bad really. X
