    Can someone please tell me if using smash to make healthy chicken goujons syn free??. I seen the recipe on here somewhere but don't know if it is syn free when dipping chicken fillet in egg and then into some smash and cooking in the oven??

    This is a much debated issue within SW.

    Technically because you aren't using the smash as intended so it would have to be synned as it is easy to over-eat. The same goes for any 'tweak' - lasagne crisps, cous cous cake, smash pizza etc. You could use 10 lasagne sheets to make some crisps but would you normally eat 10 lasgane sheets with no SF or other food? That is where the over-eating comes in.

    HOWEVER- I always say if that is something you want to do and are aware it might impact your weightloss (especially if its something you do frequently) then it is your choice to do it. In some cases it works out that you may aswell just have the 'real' thing when you look at the syn values.

    That being said I use smash if doing chicken like this because I find it convenient (I had breadcrumbing!) I don't syn it personally but it is also something I very rarely have.

    Its your choice at the end of the day, technically its a yes but only to protect your weightloss. (hope that all makes sense and sorry its so long winded lol)
