    Tesco chilli chicken noodle salad

    Hi - can anyone work out the Syn value of this for me? I'm pants at using the Syn calculator, and it doesn't help that I'm on my phone!

    I bought the chilli chicken noodle salad last night but noticed that the packaging and serving size has changed. The old version use to be about 245g and just 2.5 Syns. But I wanted to double check this one before I eat it. Details are below:

    Ingredients:
    Cooked free range egg noodles, mixed peppers, cooked chilli chicken slices, pak choi and lime and chilli dressing.

    Per 100g:
    Calories - 94
    Protein - 6.8
    Fat - 1.5
    Carbs - 12.8

    Portion size is 200g. And I am particularly interested in the Original / Red day value.

    Although chicken is not the 1st food item on the list, as its a red day, would you not put the chicken in as a free food which would bring the SYN value down to 5 SYNS.
    I'm unsure now....this has confused me! Lol

    This is what always confuses me with the Syns calculator lol! Hence why I had to ask for advice x

    Well I would calculate like that for a red day because if you don't put in chicken as a free food then it's not calculating it correctly...it will be just counting the chicken in with the other food.
    The chicken in your salad is free, so surely you register it as a free food on a red day and the noodles for a green day?

    These are fresh egg noodles though, which are not a free food.

    Actually I put in fresh pasta by mistake, cos I was looking down the list for fresh...aren't noodles and pasta made from the same stuff, just different shapes! Lo
