Samphire - is it a super free?

Can't find it listed anywhere on SW website & old posts on here are a bit vague. It's delicious, but am now panicking that I should have synned it because it tasted so salty.

It's a green vegetable, so it should be superfree. It tastes salty because it grows by the sea, in salt water.

That's what I thought, but just seemed strange that it's not listed anywhere. Thanks for reassuring me though!

I think that it is only recently that samphire has become widely known. It used to be that it was only available near to where it grows (I remember having it in Norfolk in a restaurant, years ago, and not having a clue what it was!), but it is available in supermarkets now. We are so lucky these days in having such a huge range of vegetables easily available!
