syns help on Free2Go please

Hi, I am new here but have done slimming World in the past and am going back on it. I would like some advice on free2Go though please. I know it is 3xHEA and 3XHEB plus one snack per day, but what happens about additional syns? How many are allowed - for example, tuna pasta we make with mayo and if I have sauce I always syn it- but I cannot find out whether my daughter can have these.

My daughter is 11 and on the 90th centile so losing a stone would be beneficial but I am not making a big deal out of it, I want to educate her and show her that she can eat healthily and normally without having to resort to just lettuce for a 'meal' as some of my friends children do. She is going to go into secondary school shortly and teenage girls can be very unkind to those that are bigger than 'slim' so I don't want her resorting to stupid diets but eating normal healthy meals and to realise that she can have snacks, just not all the time, hence us starting this plan together.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Have you had a look at the info on the sw website or spoken to your consultant. Children don't count syns or healthy extras, its about making good choices and substitutions xx

Yes, there is not a huge amount on the SW website. We do not go to the meetings, there are a couple of people on here whose children do it and they have 3xA and 3xB but there are some things that are not covered under those allowances. We are not going to meetings as we cannot afford it so I thought I would ask on here. I am trying to get sorted for things to pack in her lunchbox when she starts school.

I guess if no-one is doing it on here that can give me advice I guess we'll just have to sign up and go the once to get the books and literature.

The information is on the members site, which you won't have access to if you are not attending classes xx

As there are not lots of people offering advice I thought I could get some from here but it seems not. We'll have to find a class for a few weeks to get all the info we need and then leave. Thanks for the update.
