Boiled Gammon joint

Unprocessed meat is free if all visible fat is removed so it would be yes. Depends what you boil it in though. It's amazing done in coke but that adds syns. I miss gammon....:( haha.
 
Longer on a lower heat is the way to go. When I ate meat I used to do a lot of gammon in my slow cooker. Overnight for lunch the following day or all day for an evening meal. Sweeten the water slightly with sweetener and pop in a couple of apples cut up. They help leach out the salt and tenderise it slightly.
 
I do my gammon joints either in the slow cooker or roasted in the oven (dry-roasted I never add anything to it); I like it done both of these ways - great served with home made chips and peas or corn on the cob :)
