Free tinned food

Hi, sorry I don't post very often, I have tried searching previous posts but I can't find what I need. Bear with me.

I have restarted following SW after being very successful in the past but circumstances and life took over and I gained back a lot of the weight. When I followed it before I always had in my cupboard: tesco Irish stew in a tin, and tesco chick pea Dahl in a tin. These were both syn free and useful to have if I was short of time or disorganised. I can't find either of them in my local Tescos anymore though, and i don't know if they are still free.

Can anyone advise any tinned food like this that is free or low syn? I know beans, spaghetti hoops etc are free.

Thank you so much for any advise, I really need SW to work again for me this time, for my physical and mental wellbeing :)

According to the SW website the Tesco chickpea dhal is now 1.5 syns per can (which is still not bad!). However, like you I have not been able to find it in my local Tesco for weeks now - I really miss the chickpea dhal loaf!

the asda vegetable chilli in a can is free, but i cant seem to find it in my local anymore...

I used to rely on tesco irish stew too, was gutted when it was no longer free :( The value one is 3 syns a can, the regular one is 4.5.
