Kale Crisps

Hi was given a recipe for Kale crisps which involes spraying them with frylight seasoning them and baking them. Is this a tweak or is it free?

Technically I suppose it is a tweak, as it is using a free food in a different way. But normally tweaks refer to tinkering with things like potatoes or chickpeas or lasagne sheets which are relatively high calorie items - OK as part of a balanced meal but a bit dangerous as snacks.

But kale? So few calories in it that I wouldn't worry about it at all. You'd have to eat mountains of it to make a difference.

Its free and not even classed as a tweak I would say. I asked my consultant about making beetroot crisps and she checked with HO and they said it was fine - would be different if it was potato though

Wow beetroot crisps - how would you make those?

Get a raw beetroot and slice very thinly. Then spread on a baking sheet and in the oven on lowish for ages. They're lovely but so hard to get that fine line between still soft and burnt right!!!
