For some strange reason I just wondered to myself . . . . 
If you had eaten exactly the right amount of food to cover your calorie needs for a day and then you cut a pound of fat off your stomach and then ate it, would you put a pound of weight back on?
I'd guess there would be a tiny bit less in the energy used to chew and digest but I'm still undecided. I could get marooned on a desert island so I really could do with knowing.
