tony Ferguson - head in vice!

Hi - on my second day of the TF diet and although I am finding it very easy- that one protein meal a day makes a big difference. But woke up this morning I have the worst headache imaginable. Think this must be due to caffeine withdrawal as opposed to dehydration (going through 2 litres of water a day) as I usually have aproximately 10 cups of coffee a day and at least 4 on a morning!
Did anyone else notice this - benefit is too much pain to think about food!

I'm sure you are right and the headache will go. Can you tell me what shakes/soups you've had and what you thought of them and what have you had for your meal each day please.

Thinking about the plan.

Ok so far i have had the cafe latte - very nice and the strawberry - not bad, the chocolate is a bit sweet for me but managed to get it down and the wildberry was quite ok. Haven't tried the soups yet as i am a not a bit soup fan at the best of times.
For my main meal I have had poached salmon and veg for the first night ( palm size or 4oz of slamon) I also had a big green salad with the free veg and an apple around lunch time. last night I had grilled rump steak with mashed caulifolwer instead of potatoes with veg so don't feel too deprived at all, going to have chicken tonight with a large salad and grapes. You are allowed 2 portion of fruit a day and as much of the nol imit vtg and salad. Also allowed three treats a week ( this can include wine if you want) so all in all right now - quite impressed. Let me know if you embark on it as it will be good to see what others think

The headache could be caffeine withdrawal, but it's also a side effect of reducing carbs. It'll probably go off after the first few days.

BTW, I'm going to move this thread out of the VLCD section as the TF diet isn't a VLCD and you'll get more support and answer from TFers in the 'other diets' section :)

Hiya! I'm also on the Tony Ferguson and just finished day 3! Nice to hear how others are getting on.

I'm also finding it alright, not keen on the shakes/bars or the soups but I can keep them down and thats the main thing - I am really enjoying my protien dinner, had salmon and veg on night 1, chicken and veg on night 2 and a lovely omelette and salad tonight. I am really looking forward to getting weighed on Weds, think that will give me more motivation to stick with the shakes.

Would be great if we could swap ideas of alternative things to do with shakes/soups have heard that you can turn them into pizza breads, ice cream etc, need to go through the TF website for the receipes!!

Good luck and keep us posted with how you are getting on

Hi,

I don't like shakes, but i like them made into a mousse. Use 150ml of water and leave in the fridge for 40 mins. Very pleasant indeed.

Check out their aussies forum - Tony Ferguson Weightloss Program

I have bought a week's supply and got one of everything. So far had chicken soup - added the fibre stuff but was not keen on it and an apricot bar - it was ok but much prefer the Cambridge bars.

I did like the care and attention I got from Boots and also think the TF programme guide excellent.

Hi. I am starting tomorrow!! I have my veges, fruit and packs ready to take to work. I have previously attempted LL but struggled with not eating at all and ended up in my flat alone alot of this time. TF seems to give alot more freedom... I am very excited! x

Hiya everyone, how are you all getting on!! Is The diet the same as slimfast more or less?? How many cals a day do you have.

Thanks

Hey everyone - well headaches went at about day 5 and hopefully gone for good, been working long shifts so not had chance to post but delighted to say lost 5lb on first week - finsing it much easier than some other smilar diets and yes the programme guide is excellent. looking forward to 2nd weight in - the good thing about this is if I am having a hungry/active day I can have my protein meal at lunch time and I love that flexibility. good luck to everyone else on this road.

Would drinking green tea help with the caffine head aches? You can have up to 5 cups of green tea a day, I think the guide book said.

hi everyone, i got a weeks worth of stuff today ready to dtart tf tomorrow :D the advisor at boots was brillopads, she explained it so well and im feelin really positive. i was thinking of startin the lipotrim but when i came across tony ferguson it just seemed so much more 'normal' and healthy, yano with having your meal of an evening.
i got a load of shakes, and the advisor said that the girls in her branch trying out tf said the cranberry munch bars were nicest, the apricot were apparently dry?? cant say im a fan of either fruit but i got a cranberry bar to try :)

Hi girls, im really considering giving this diet a go as nothing else has worked for me, its great reading all your posts, so please keep them coming.

Wait, wait, wait, I'm getting the impression that you have to cut out caffeine on TF, is that true???
Thinking about trying TF but do not like the idea of giving up coffee :(
