I have achieved a life long ambition!

I bought a pair of trousers from Next yesterday - size 16. I have wanted to buy clothes from there all my adult life but they never fit before.

You have no idea how thrilled I was!

A couple of friends have lent me size 16 Next trousers which I have been wearing but I wanted to *buy* my own lol - my husband cannot understand for the life of him why I had to buy a pair and wouldn't make do with the one's that had been lent to me! I told him it is a girly thing.

Thank you DQ! I am so made up, I desparately wanted to wear them today but I have been in a formal training course (all men) and knew I couldn't get away with it. I swear I won't take them off until they fall down (although I will wash them of course lol).

It's time like these that makes us realise that all the hard work dieting has been worth it.
    Well done

I started out size 24 up top and 22 on the bottom.

I am on day 50 and in comparison to lots in my group my loss has been quite slow.

Thanks Pam, it certainly does make us realise, I think I probably would have given up by now if it wasn't for the thought of buying that size 14 outfit from Per Una!

I can totally relate to the Next thing as well.

Not that long ago, the only time I was in next, it was donkeying my wifes purchases in order that she might "get amongst it", as she puts it.

But now........ now is a different story....

I am now a Next and Gap tart. I can't stay away from the places. I actually got up at 0500 hours a couple of weeks ago to 'shop' at Next on the web in their Sale. There is still stuff arriving now.

The best feeling is actually taking two sizes in the changing room and actually buying the smaller size.......or trying on stuff, but leaving empty handed, because I wanted to and there was nothing I fancied. Before, if is fit(ish), I bought it.
