| Member | Hey, im new to these forums. This forum looks sweet btw. Anyways i have a question, which i hope someone who has gone through the same experience can answer me ![]() Im trying to keep my calories low. Before i was having like 2000-3000 calories a day, i put on weight slowly though, so im thinking it wasnt that bad. It took me about 2 years to gain 3-4 pounds. Now, im not over weight, but i really do hate me size! I hate the size of my thighs aswell. I keep low on calories now, have been doing for a week now. Heres what i keep on. Coke Zero - 1 Calorie PER bottle - no fat, or sugar. Apples - About 2 sliced apples, normally 43kcal.. Grapes - About the same, so 40 kcal Crips - Not alot, but occasionally every 2-3 days i have a bag which is like 120kcal? :S Then i have a meal at the end of the day which normally adds up to 250kcal at the highest.. So my daily intake each day is: 560kcal a day? Now, i play basketball sometimes about an hour a day. Sometimes i will go on my rowing machine and burn 50-100 calories. Now, i feel better, but i really want to know what people think to this? Will i lose weight quick like this? (which is what i want) Because right now, it feels like ive lost nothing ;o!, i think it takes a while to kick in? Can anyone suggest any exercises that have worked for you, to lose weight on my thighs and to lose my weight on my belly. That would be great ![]() |

My Mood: Blog Entries: 1 Rep Power: 5 ![]() ![]() Diet: W8 | Help! Hi there! I've been following W8 matters online for 12 days now, not weighed myself yet this week but so far lost 13lbs! This frum looks like a godsend cos I've mailed the W8 matters address but didn't get any decent replies! Hope someone can help me! :-) Can you add things to the shakes and soups, i.e cinnamon to the sweet shakes and cajun or five spice powder to the soups? I practice bikram yoga and have started back again (was too knackered in the first week!) is it safe to exercise, I can't find anything with says otherwise, but wouldn't want it to affect me/my weightloss. I've been drinking extra water to make up for the water lost through sweat (pleasant, I know) :-) Thanks Shiny |

| Member | hello everyone, hope i'm doingthis right asnot verygood with technology. Anyhow, my friend has just done LL for threemonths and lost loadsand looks great. This inspired me to lose some weight too. I am currently 14 stone and only five foot. Unfortunately i could no way afford to do LL as am a student nurse on a very very small bursary so i went on the internet, did some research and bought myself a months supply of nutritionally balanced meal replacement sachets. I am having three a day which is 500 cals and drinking loads ofwater, 5-6 litres aday. I have had no problemswith constipation, lightheadedness etc etc but.... I have only lost 1lb in the first week. can anyone explain what is going on? am carrying on with the diet as i reason it must be impossible to have so few calories a day and not lose weight eventually but it is getting me down abit. In addition, I don't think i am losing 'inches' either! any advice please? |

My Mood: Rep Power: 2 ![]() Diet: Cambridge diet | Help! Hello, I've been on the Cambridge diet for 3.5 days now and so far I am having no problems whatsoever with the side effects of ketosis. My question is, how do you know you are actually in ketosis? I have no tiredness problems, have LOADS of energy and all of a sudden I'm not really that hungry at all. Is this normal? I've heard horror stories of people going on this thing and then having a horrible time. I even love all the flavours of the packets and I'm looking forward to my butterscotch mousse tomorrow morning! |

Rep Power: 9 ![]() ![]() ![]() Diet: CD | Ad110, are you sure the packs you have aren't 500 each, as that could contribute to a weight loss of about 1lb per week? Or maybe it's just your body adjusting. Are you taking enough water in? Otherwise you might be retaining the water you have already in your body. Also you mention being a student nurse. I was a student doctor, and the wards are pretty warm even though you get used to it over time...which means without realising, you'll be losing a lot more water through evaporation than you realise, so you need to drink even more water. Chebs, I had problems the first time I did the diet, however this 2nd time, I'm using up all my leftover packs, and I've been SSing and have had no side effects....sometimes you do, sometimes you don't. Ketosis can be associated (quite commonly) with lots of energy, not feeling tired (indeed, needing less sleep, but feeling it's better quality sleep), and lack of hunger. If you weren't in ketosis, the chances are you'd feel starving. Good luck with your diet. V

My Mood: Rep Power: 1 ![]() Diet: cambridge | hi i am new to this site and i dont know if i post things in the right places or how to check if i've had an answer!! anyways i have posted this somewhere before but i dont know where-i read last night that we were ok to drink coke zero because it doesnt contain citric acid. It actually contains phosphoric acid, is this different and allowed? it's in the cough medician i use and i have a bad cough at the moment and i dont know if i can take it or not? if i am honest i would rather throw the ketosis out of the window on a choc bar rather than some yukki cough mixture if you see what i mean. thanks for the help jakki |
