    Dangers of relying on multivitamins

Hi, im a bit concerned about the fact that alot of people here seem to think that making your own VLCD up and using a multivitamin is ok. Its not, and is rather dangerous.

Multivitamins in pill form cannot be absorbed by the body effectively. Infact, your body usually absorbs only around 7% of the vitamins in the pill. The rest is simply passed out.

So if you insist on following your own VLCD plan then please try and use a liquid vitamin supplement as this is absorbed much better by the body.

Im not trying to get on to anyone, i just think people should be aware of the facts.

    xx

    Spot on.

I don't think anyone on here presenting facts against the dangers of DIY VLCDs underestimates the desperation. As a fan of a VLCD thanks to my doctor suggesting one as the way forwards I know what it is like to go against popular public opinion.

But NOBODY except the ill informed would ever suggest that a DIY VLCD with tablet supplement if ever going to be safe.

Yes I'm back to lose 6 stone for a third time. For goodness sake, do the maintenance this time!
