    Alizonne

    Hi all,

Couldn't see a thread for anyone doing Alizonne. Are there any of you out there?

Just started and thought it'd be nice to share recipes and weight loss successes. I should lose 4 stone over the next 4 months and have weekly body treatments so that I don't have saggy skin. Tried everything before and nothing works so going down the expensive strict Alizonne route. On day 4 and so far never felt hungry once

If there is a thread on here somewhere on this happy to be redirected

    Nat

    Hiya,

I've not seen any mention of this programme on here as yet, maybe the admins would be better able to advise. However I'm sure that many members will still give you support and advice as much as they can as regardless of what programme we are following we all have the same goals.

May I ask how much your programme costs, as I've just had a quick look online to find out more about it and know some members have used similar treatments in the past too.

    Welcome aboard

    Hi there

It's quite expensive but I have tried every diet over the past 15 years and can't seem to stick to anything - most I've ever lost is 1.5 stone. I didn't lose weight quick enough to keep me motivated. Decided I needed something strict and get out of the habit of eating sweet things all the time. I was finding on Weightwatchers I was making sure I had enough points to eat chocolate and never got out of the habit of it. On Slimming World I just ate too much, huge portions and because I'd done these diets soooo many times and failed I just knew I would never get there with them.

Heard about Alizonne on local radio. Googled it and immediately felt really really excited. Yes, it is expensive but I need to be kept to a strict plan and lose weight quickly enough to keep me motivated. I know the pitfalls of quick diets, saggy skin and as soon as you stop it all piles on but the way Alizonne reintroduce food types back into your diet gradually, measure your metabolic rate so that you know how much you can eat without putting on weight and support you for a minimum of a year after you've lost your weight seems really good. The weekly skin treatments obviously increase the cost but a small price to pay I think to avoid saggy skin.

It is really expensive but if I counted up how much i've spent on other diets that haven't worked for me over the past 15 years it would exceed the amount I am paying. First consultation (45 mins with NHS doc and 30 mins with consultant), bloods, metabolic & fat test, food for a week and supplements was 450. Weekly thereafter in phase 1 (for me about 8 wks) will be 210, it then gets cheaper as you need less of the Alizonne food. Overall the doc worked out that I will reach my target of 9 stone 8 in approx. 14 weeks. This is me losing 4 stone 4lb and I should reach this by end Feb/start March. It will end up costing me about 3500-4k overall. It's quite a good incentive to stick to it! Normally I'd be tempted to accept the odd biscuit but not on this as it stops the fat burning process and you lose about 3 days until you get back into ketosis. Work that out in money and you'd skip the biscuit!!!!

BTW I'm not loaded!! I've just taken a 0% finance credit card and I'm paying it up! It's pretty much guaranteed that I'll reach my target weight in February and I've never had that from any diet I've done so I'm giving it a shot.

Have my first weight in on Saturday and first ultrasound and skin tightening treatments and I've actually quite liked the food!

Sorry, went on a bit but I'm still quite excited!!! Also, 5 days in and I feel great

No that's good for you to be excited and explain about how it works as it makes for educational reading.

I had the same issue as you, tried other diets, not seen any results, got disheartened and returned to eating crap. I'm currently on Lipotrim and I found it is the best way for me to loose weight as it's a 100% total food replacement diet, so I just drink the shakes I'm given and that's pretty much it. Like your diet, the results are fast. I'm on day 21 and have lost 16lbs which is great news for me as this is the most I've lost in years and I feel great. Luckily I don't have to worry too much about saggy skin as I tackled my weight before I got too obese, but certainly for others it is a worry. I'm hoping with some to in exercises I can tighten the muscles in my stomach, arms and ass and that will sort out the flabby bits.

Would be nice if there was a side treatment for firming up the skin with the diet but I guess it's down to exercise, firming creams and wrap treatments to sort me out. Infact, I might treat myself to a few wraps on the run up to Xmas for the works parties.

That's a great weight loss. Well done you. I think mine will work out just over a stone a month. You are doing the right thing in tackling your weight without being too overweight, although I remember going to my first WW class at 9 stone 12lb!!!! That was 15 years ago and I've been on diets ever since so really proves that yo-yo dieting is not the way to go!!

I'm looking forward to starting my life again and never letting myself get overweight again...ever! According to the clinic my metabolism is good at 1700 calories so once I reach target they'll measure it again and as long as I stick to 1700 a day I won't put on Once I lose weight going to start running more (as I struggle at the mo due to being overweight) and I'd like to start using kettlebells as they're meant to be really good for muscle tone.

Good luck on your journey x

Muscle burns calories. Someone earlier quoted a pound of muscle burns 60 calories I think they said, so the more you build your muscles the better your resting calorie burn rate (not suggesting you become a body builder btw, maybe just get toned and have some upper body strength without looking like Jodie Marsh)
