New year, new me, new to vlcd

Today is day 1 of my tfr vlcd 'new you'. I woke up so excited to start this diet and rid my self of 30pounds.
    food so far has been:
porridge - this smelled awful and didnt taste great at all, managed to eat half of it.
veg soup - again not great

I have two more meals today so hoping for something tasty.

    anyone else try 'new you'?

Good luck! I'm new to VLCD this week too, although I'm doing a bit of a mix of a few brands, clearance bits at the moment as a tight budget. Day 5 for me. I had some veg soups but they really aren't that nice are they :/ I'm much preferring shakes

Hi I'm on exante, and must be very easily pleased as i really like the veg soup and love the porridge, can't say that i hate any meal really, not to fussy on pasta carbonara or the chili but don't hate it, just wouldn't pick it first. also like the shakes lol, just had a vanilla one hot with a spoon of very low cal hot choc powder. naughty i know but only 15 cals (didn't put in much) and about 1-2g carbs. it was lush

Oooh Jeanette that is a wonderful idea! I might have to try that shhhh
The veg soup is okay, I'll have it if I have to but not my first choice, I'd rather have shakes

at least one brand of product has earned themselves a bad reputation through persistent marketing practices on this site. It might be that. I can't list mine for the same reason. However at the end of the day a VLCD is a VLCD, many products are the same across the different brands, and we all have the same sort of experiences.

ah right is that the case, seems odd for a weight loss forum to favour certain brands but im in sales so can only guess that maybe certain brands help monetize this site etc at least now i know i wont mention anything as you say a VLCD is a VLCD and if it works for you then great if not try another, im new and the one im using is working for me so im happy x

it might be the reason in your case, can't be sure, but I got edited yesterday. OK, no worries, I said.

actually I don't think this site is paid for by brands (in fact they go out of they way *not* to give opinion or favour), only that at least one made a particular nuisance of itself spamwise, and so was told not to darken these doors again.

Anyway. Properly formulated products are more or less the same across the board, and it's nice to not have to be patronised by the medical profession to get them.
