Low Carb Snack Suggestions?

Does anyone have a list of what is low carb for fruit/veg and snacks please? Or even suggestions.

Ive seen a few online but they're mainly herbs and stuff I would never eat.. I just wanted a list of normal every day things that you can buy in the supermarket lol x
 
If you're on a vlcd you can't have fruit. You probably cant have most of the low carb snacks around either if you're in ketosis

No fruit allowed

You can have the following

Broccoli
Mushrooms
Very small portion of peppers
Spinach

That's all I have had previously its best to try and have a protein based meal though
 
Where did you all get the info on no fruit?

The booklet that came with my shake that weight says a typical day is 3 shakes, 2 healthy snacks such as a small handfuls of nuts, pieces of fruit or low fat low sugar yoghurt and then a healthy evening meal.

Further in the booklet it says choose fruits with skin where possible as this adds fibre to your diet and keeps you feeling fuller for longer.
 
Thanks star! I think shake that weight need to think about a new booklet that they send out to their customers lol


Im still sure im doing something wrong though. Ive been doing a diary in the diary section, maybe someone could take a look and kick me with what im doing wrong? :) xx

Hi there I had same booklet but they have several ways of doing vlcd, you can do ketone way or not... Basically it's a choice, you can do in the booklet but may not be in ketosis but still vlcd..... I prefer ketosis as then you don't crave sugar. I have little bit of ham or chicken if I really need to. At least 2 times per week I eat a meal which is tuna or chicken with green veg only (no peas) and I have not been out of ketosis, but everyone is different. Best of luck I've not long started either and it's going very well!
 
Deff agree smuffin bad advice in that booklet. Any snacks I have are protein only and if im having a small meal I have protein and a little bit of green veg like kale spinach or brocolli. Not worth risking being out of ketosis by having fruit etc.
