The lose a stone in a week diet

I read about this diet on the internet, a very strict low calorie diet where i actually like all of the foods listed. No substitutions, you dont like the food listed , you go without. No adding in sweetener or milk, no cheating at all or it wont work. Its chemically balanced, no dairy, no salt, no sugar, minimal carbs. Only black coffee, water and black tea allowed to drink. You break it then you wont lose the weight.

So, I started it last sunday morning after eating everything naughty in the house on saturday evening!

I have almost finished day 6 now, only one day left and i am so excited to be weighing on sunday morning...cant wait. I can tell from the mirror that ive lost weight, but how much will it be?...very exciting.

i will post how ive done. obviously aiming for 14 pounds but will be happy with 10 or more in one week.

You can only do the diet for one week in 3 so for the next 2 weeks i will be having around 1200 calories per day then if i need to do this strict one again, it will be perfect timing for all the christmas party dresses yayyy.

What exactly is the diet?
How many calories are you allowed to eat??

Hi Bluecow
its about 700 calories a day, hence you only do it for a week.
Its a set menu, some days seem much more food than others, but supposedly chemically balanced

So...i weighed in this morning after one week of following it to the letter (apart from 2 glasses of wine) and i have lost 11 pounds..i am soooo pleased :)
now im starting a 1200 calories a day diet for the next two weeks and hoping to drop into the ten stones bracket asap

Well done that is brilliant! Glad you are upping your calories now though not sure it sounded like a diet you should follow long term!

Where would I find details of this diet please??? Also, anyone else thinking about trying the Arizona diet in the UK?? Thanks

Well done :)
Are you going to do it again ?

For anyone who's interested in these kind of short term diets - this is one I did last year, lost 11lbs in a week down from 13 stone. It's called the James Ducan Diet.

Here's the link - James Duncan: How I lost a stone in a week

Below is copied and pasted from the link

This is a diet I was handed and told that it was designed to help people crash lose a stone for operations. I tried it and lost 14 lbs, so I’ll pass it along since I can’t find it anywhere else on the net.

[h=3]Their Rules[/h]
  1. No alcoholic drinks.
  2. Permitted drinks: Black coffee, tea, lemon/grapefruit juice without sugar.
  3. No milk, butter or fats.
  4. NO EATING BETWEEN MEALS
  5. Abstain from all not included in diet. Eat what is shown or go without.
  6. ONLY DIET FOR ONE WEEK IN THREE - TWO WEEKS OFF
  7. No substitutes allowed. The basis of the diet is chemical, not the quantities.
  8. Lunch and dinner may be swapped but only on the same day.
  9. GUARANTEED TO LOSE ONE STONE IN ONE WEEK.
[h=3]My Tips[/h]
  1. The grapefruit sourness is a lot more bearable with pink grapefruit. Also, if you have a sweet tooth normally, bear in mind that grapefruit sweetens a lot in the last stages of ripening.
  2. I am used to eating like a pig, and thus had a lot of “empty stomach - must fill” type feelings. Drinking lots of water filled me up temporarily.
  3. If you are desperate for flavour on some of the blander dishes, add a little lemon juice. On the list of allowed drinks and can pep up things nicely.
  4. If you try the diet and it works for you, leave me a comment. I’m curious to see if it works for other people.
NB: This is not my diet, I merely transcribe; do not sue me if you die - James.

Sounds like a doable plan. How did it go for you? did you manage 100%? I'm just concerned that its mucks up your metabolism, so on the other 2 weeks, you actually feel you have to eat more.

Please let me know.
