Talking Master Cleanse / Lemonade Diet

Has anyone tried the master cleanse. Its sometimes called the lemonade diet but most people using it dont class it as a diet, more of a body cleanse.

I am very interested in trying it and would like the hear from others who have tried it.

I bought the book recommended in many of the pages on yahoo about it.

Thanks peeps

Laura

It probably is, its got the syrup as one of the ingredients. Im using agave nectar though. Oh, just remembered, still need the senna laxative tea hehe.

My workmates have advised me to wait till im on holiday till I try it, they dont want to put up with me without my morning coffee.

Laura I would check this over with your GP and ask for his/her advice to make sure you are safe and sound.

Good luck if you decide to go ahead. I was reading about this a couple months ago and thought it sounded like a nightmare. It's the lack of nutrition worries me. Let us know how you get on.

Definitely check with your doc first hun x

Im not as convinced today. I have found it hard to shift weight since having my babies (youngest is 2, doh!). I might not do this as I am worried about it making me ill.

Im so mixed up about diets.

I feel as though the motivation is here now. I just need to channel it appropriately.

Thanks for your replies.

I can understand hon. Have you the funds to do Lipotrim or Cambridge? You can have fab losses on them both and they have all the essential vits & minerals.

Thats the problem, the funds. I would try cambridge but I would need to put it on my credit card. My oh, supportive as he is would not be too pleased about me spending £160 on a diet. Its easy for him though, he is tall and skinny.

I need to find out costs and how long the £160 lasts for (how many shakes etc). Would I get signed off for it, im 10st 8 which might not seem heavy to some but Im only 5 foot and should be at least 2 stone lighter.

Thanks for your reply, its all helpfull

Laura

Actress Natalie Cassidy tried the Maple Syrup Diet for a tv documentary. She lost weight quickly but the following week put it all back and more - yet was still cutting calories. She felt elated at the initial loss but developed dark shadows under the eyes.

The nutritionist on the show said it was dangerously low both in calories and in nutrition so I agree with Mike and others - tread carefully.

Recent publicity has suggested that even short term detox diets are now considered dangerous. Has anyone else read this?

Whatever you decide to do, good luck x

Remind him that it's not £160 for a diet, but £160 for all your food and drink for the next month or so.

Not a lot different to just plain healthy eating as far as price is concerned, and at least you'd be getting everything you need in terms of vits and minerals

What about Slim Fast? There's quite a lot of carbs but they're low calorie and you can have a 600cal meal plus there's an active forum on here.
