Hey guys!
Today starts my journey to a more slimmer, healthier me, which is long overdue!
I've weighed myself today,and I'm at 15st 5lbs.

I'll weigh myself every Monday so here's to next week, when hopefully I can report a loss :)

Good luck with the weight loss fella. I'll be watching your progress as I weighed myself today and I was very close to what you are now, 15st 4lb.


Looking at your goal weight and BMI I must say that have set yourself a great challenge there and it's one that will certainly change your quality of life.

Cheers bud, I'll keep an eye on your progress too, really hope to win the challenge I've set myself, so I feel more confident than I've ever felt!




Anyway, I know I'm 2 days late, but I weighed myself on Monday, and I'm down to 15st 3lbs, so that's a loss of 2lbs.... it's definitely start so here's to many more pounds being lost :)
 
I'm roughly around the same as you at 14st 12lb. Only started today, let the journey begin :D

Want to be down to 11st 7lb by my birthday 6 days before xmas. Then shift the next stone to be down to 10st 7lb in the new year

Bit of a gain this week, only 1/2lb though so nothing too drastic.

Weight ; 23/07/12 = 15st 3 1/2 lbs
 
Well done on the loss!

2lbs in the first week is good :)

Fingers crossed. I really don't know what caused my weight to slide up ever so slightly. If it goes up again this week, my current calorie counting clearly isn't working for me/not calculating things correctly so will need to be extra careful!!

hey guys, had some internet trouble so i've two weeks to fill you in on.

It's been a bad few weeks in terms of the weight loss - I've ended up back at where I started, 15st 5lbs :( - absolutely gutted but it's my own fault!

I've tried calorie counting but it doesn't seem to be working to well for me, so just going to try find something that works for me.

No point in my trying to feel sorry for myself, lets just call this a little "blip"

Sorry to hear that Calorie Counting hasn't worked out for you. :(
Hope that you manage to lose weight regardless.
Have you considered joining a local group such as WW and SW.
I am sure that there is something out there for you.

I'm moving back to Uni at the end of this month, so hopefully that'll help me with further - I'll only have my income so I'll only have enough food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and not enough to be tempted to snack on etc.

Got all my fingers and toes crossed I can lose some more again :)

Uni is where I gained all my weight, takeaway after takeaway, basically every other night :/. Makes me feel sick thinking of it now.

Just keep focused. When you were calorie counting how were you doing it?

Were you keeping focus on every aspect of your food intake as every little bit unfortunately adds up across the day, like mayo and other sauces even can be a big downfall as often have high fat content (I have had this problem in the past :p) . That is my next point, when you were calorie counting were you also considering the fat in the potions you were eating?

Looking at your details to Maintain your weight with very little exercise at all you would need to eat 2235 calories.

I'm just calorie counting and I started off not far where you are now, I aim to eat around 1200 calorie a day. Just eating normal stuff, having a treat now and then. Basically trying to live as normal of a life on a diet as possible. Even if you eat say 1735 calories a day, over a week that will be at least a pound lost (3500 calories appox in 1lb) plus this is not including any exercise :)

You can do it, I have faith in you and there is loads of advise and information on this site. We are all in this together :)
