First Weigh In

Started Slimfast a week ago today and loving it so far.
Have barely been hungry at all! Hopefully can maintain this level of motivation.
My initial weight was 16st 11lb and today I weighed 16st 5lb. So a loss of 6lbs and I'm chuffed to bits.

I have a bit of a cheeky Tuesday every week where I meet up with my nan and my auntie in town and go for lunch (and never to a place particularly healthy either). So, proud to report that I managed to select something from the 'light bites' section of the menu this week and had a tuna baguette and salad minus the chips. Thoroughly enjoyed it too!!
So I'm going to continue my cheeky Tuesday and just stick with having my 600cal meal for lunch and then a shake for dinner!
Roll on next week!

I started my diet yesterday, I can't wait for my fist weigh in next week :)

Ok so my diet plans for the festive period were shattered when I received more than 5 boxes of chocolates as gifts, even after pleading with people not to buy me any!
And everyone spent soooo much time telling me how silly I was for starting a diet a week before Xmas. Well in actual fact...I'm glad I did (even though I only managed a week) lol. But in that week I lost the half a stone which I've put back on so overall I managed to do all of my festive munching without gaining a pound (kinda).

So was back on the scales yesterday to restart my mission and as expected back upto 16st 10.5lbs. I had actually expected it to be more so I was chuffed it wasn't. I also suspected some of that to be water and I was right because I weighed again today and was down three pounds so I'm now 16st 7.5lbs.
Past two days been easy peasy and my kitchen cupboards bursting at the rims with tubs of slimfast since Morrisons have on buy one, get two free.

I've found that if I get quite hungry between shakes or meals, I allow myself a 120cal snack instead of just the 100 that I'm supposed to have because then I can have a fake pigging out session lol. I have a packet of quavers (88 cal), 2 mikado chocolate sticks (20 cal), a tub of sugar free jelly (5 cal), 3 strawberries (5 cal) and a can of coke zero (2 cal). Put it all on a plate and pig out in front of the TV lol.

Anyway, be weighing in on Wednesdays!

I weigh In on Wednesdays as well lol, Wednesday is now known as weigh day in my household haha :)

Another two pounds down today, weighed in at 16st 5.5lbs. Still another three days til weigh in so 5lbs so far is a fab little number to kick things back off.
I'm very loosely following Slimfast. I have my two shakes a day for breakfast and lunch. I don't restrict dinner to 600 calories but I do my best to reduce the calories and fill up on veg.
I still have my snacks but instead of 3x 100cal, I use the 300cal throughout the day as I need. I don't really count my three cups of tea either as I use sweeteners and skimmed milk.
I'm trying not to 'diet' as such this time and instead make a general change. I'm usually really strict on diets and do really well to get the weight off but I'm not addressing the reason that I'm this way in the first place and so I always end up regaining the weight.
I'm thinking of introducing a couple of treat meals throughout the week. My OH, the baby and I usually go to the Sainburys cafe every Sunday for a full English but I stopped doing this when I started Slimfast, thinking I could start again and get something lighter like scrambled egg on toast? I don't really want to get back into Saturday night takeaways, I don't want my little girl getting used to us eating junk once a week. Maybe that should be a monthly thing, like payday?! Sounds good (sorry, thinking as I type lol).

So first weigh in down and lost 5.75lbs. Don't really feel like I've been putting in a lot of effort so that's good. I like the relaxed approach I've got this time, visited my friend yesterday to see her new puppy in the afternoon. Took a slimfast shake with me for lunch in my bag but when I got there she had bought rolls and cakes so I thought, what the hell. Had one roll and a yumyum but stuck to being healthy the rest of the day and still managed to lose a pound from yesterday. So it just goes to show me I don't need to be so anal all the time over what I'm eating. I'll stick to my shakes every day for breakfast except a Sunday when I have breakfast at the cafe. And I'll have my shake for lunch most days too with the exceptions being Tuesdays when I go out for lunch (I'll choose something healthy-ish off the menu) or generally days if I'm visiting someone over lunchtime I'll have what I like within reason.
Dinners will be whatever the family are having but I'll do my best to make it low cal and low fat without anally counting calories.
Have been eating a lot of curries. Love the Pataks jalfrezi sauce. I give most of the chicken to my OH and I add throw on a portion of frozen mixed veg and mix it into my curry so make it a healthy chicken and veg jalfrezi. Have been treating myself to a weight watchers angel slice with my cup of tea in the evenings too. :)
