My endeavour to be fabulous at fifty!

After a lifetime of battling the bulge and the biscuit barrel and a nasty brush with cancer, my health has steadily been declining for the past 12 years. My weight gain was fueled by steroids, a hedonistic lifestyle, self-loathing and self-pity. But with my 50th birthday hurtling towards me at the end of the year I thought it was about time I took drastic action.

I had been researching Lipotrim for some time after spotting an advertisement on one of my many trips to the pharmacy. Having gathered as much information on the programme as possible I realised that in order to succeed it would be very important to clear my diary of any temptation. I have cancelled all sorts of events and two holidays to embark on this journey but I know it will be worth it.

So here I am, 10 days into my diet and I am thrilled to report that after my first weigh-in, I am already 8lbs lighter and I have never felt better!

I, like most people that must read these forums, have tried so many diets over the years and have failed miserably often losing a few stone only to regain the weight plus more! Having read so many of the wonderful posts on here, I now have the courage to face my demons head on and for the first time in my life I truly believe that I can succeed to be fit and healthy and joyously slim!

If someone could wave a magic wand so in three weeks time I would be at goal and refeeding, I know that I would automatically revert to my old habits and would instantly regain the weight. So with that in mind, I welcome the months ahead to re-boot my brain and my palette to not only address portion sizes but to be more selective in my food choices so as to adopt a plan for life.

The wonderful stories of courage and determination on this site have helped to motivate me to change my life forever, I can never thank you all enough. I believe that you have literally helped save my life!

I shall keep a diary here in the days and weeks ahead in the hope that my words may also help someone to take that first step.

This is my year to be Fabulous at 50!

So, i've been for my three week weigh-in today and I'm thrilled to bits that I have lost 21lb so far! I am just amazed at how easy this has been. It's not just the pounds that seem to be dropping off, it's the inches! Fantastic. Wednesdays have never been so exciting.

My first big goal is to get to under 14 stone. I have not been 'there' for about 13 years. Over the past 8 years I have managed to get to 15 stone (and put it all back on again!) but that elusive 14 has always got away from me. When I get under 15 stone and see 14 for the first time, gonna treat myself to a spa day!
