I'm starting a thread Jst to keep a record of how I'm feeling what I'm eating

Started hypnosis 2 weeks ago. Lost 4lbs in my first week and felt amazing. Keeping a food diary help loads.

I haven't lost this week. In fact I have gained 1lb.

16st 1lb. :-(
Single
Miserable

Have tried slimming world ( too restrictive)
Have tried weight watchers ( didn't get on with the new pro points)
Have tried Cambridge diet ( made myself ill as hell)
 
Night before the mind "op" feeling a little apprehensive. I have paid 300 quid hope it works so I can get rid of my demons for good
 
Keeping my fingers crossed for you Claire. I have the Paul McKenna (sp?) CD, I bought it at Christmas and I play it every night. I've not heard it all the way through because I drop off to sleep, but my goodness am I getting better at my approach to food.
Please keep posting about your journey.
I tried a meal replacement diet too. I came out in a rash, started falling over when I stood up quickly because my blood pressure had dropped and after my doctor took me off it, I put all the weight back on and more some! I think they are wonderful for some people but not others
 
Good luck Claire, keep a positive attitude and tell yourself that it WILL work and I am sure you will have fantastic results x
 
Well don't really know what to think.. ? I put on 1lb last week
Had the "op" but really didn't feel what I was supposed to feel...
But I do have more motivation to not eat so much or pick. Don't know wether that's the hypno or the fact I paid 300 quid and wanting it to work..
I know I could go to mcdonalds and eat my regular feast but something is stopping me.. I hope the motivation lasts...
3lbs in 2 weeks, I would loose more with weight watchers.
Feeling sad x
 
Hello and welcome :)

I will be interested in folowing your success with this! I have tried countless diets for years, cambridge diet made me ill too! I am now doing it alone, healthy eating and exercise :)

I hope the 'op' works for you. Chin up hun and just give it a chance, it might take a few days to 'feel' like its working 100%...if it is already making you think about food differently, then that is a good sign!

My hubby is a hypnotherapist, well he was in a former life ;)...i wonder if he fancies training on gastric band hynotherapy????? lol

Sorry for letting u guys down..

Hypno was not for me, I am so upset.. 4 weeks in and I'm back to my normal self :(

I'm now in the process of looking to fund surgery. Drastic I know. But I need happiness. I'm so miserable 33 single, don't go out anymore,

I'm going to try a vlcd if I can struggle to get into ketosis then I may have a good chance

Anybody tried vlcd b4??? Xx
 
Sorry I am new to the site, what is VLCD? I've recently gone to have gastric band surgery in Brussels but after going through the op I woke up and was told that my anatomy is different and they were unable to do it, I have now gota pay the hospital fees and go through the pain for nothing so be careful beforehand, I wish they'd given me a scan first
 
hello Claire :)..firstly, you are not lettng us down at all. You are doing this for yourself hun and its not easy. We all try different methods and diets before we find the one that works for us!

I've been dieting nearly all my life, and i'm 50 this year! A very low calorie diet works for so many hun, and others struggle with it. I am following my own healthy eating plan and exercising. it sems to work for me, but i have good days and not so good days, we all do!

Quick fixes and fad diets aren't always successful hun, and once i even thought of surgery too, its a drastic and often desperate routeto take and i fully understand why people want to do it, especially when we see many celebs shrinking after weight loss surgery! However, the idea of the op frightened me, because of my size, a proper catch 22 situation :)
Why not give a low calorie diet a try, a heathy one and be very sensible with food choices and portion size. I was the original couch potato, but now i walk everywhere, i get on my exercise bike daily and i even zumba in the privacy of my own home with the help of zumba dvds :)
Don't feel downhearted lovey, think how you want to look and feel this time next year, keep posting on here, read the inspirational before and after stories, if you ever need to chat offine, feel free to pm me anytime, i truly understand how you feel :)

sorry to hear that Mrs Carter, what a disappoinment for you..and an expensive one! what are your plans now hun?

A VLCD is a very low calorie diet! Welcome to the site :)
 
Thank you, my plan now is to do the CD and exercise for the race for life, I've been referred to a surgeon here to find out what's going in with my anatomy, more poking an prodding for me,fun! Joke!!
 
My hypno band experience has now turned into a gastric wrap experience.
Im booking for the real deal. With Prague beauty.

Hoping to get wrapped in April :) x
 
It's a shame the hypnoband didn't work for you. I would have assumed after paying for so much they'd give you more support or sessions after? Also, how much does the gastric wrap cost?

Hi everyone, be careful going for a gastric (band) I assume u mean, I recently went to Brussels and paid £4650 + 3 years aftercare, I went through the operation only to find that my anatomy is different and I am still waiting to hear about a refund because I still had an op I've still gota pay even tho I didn't have the band put in, I've read since about a few stories the same so just be careful x
 
I'm going with cosmetic bliss. They seem to be the most highly recommended. Their Facebook page is an inspiration.. It's 4999 all in. The flights operation loads of pre med checks. Staying in a 4* hotel also. With 1year after care too.

The wrap or plication is where they turn the stomach in on itself it's a new technique but has the same results as the sleeve but doesn't involve cutting of the stomach. It's also better than the band as no mechanical device inside that can go wrong.

I'm hoping to get out to Prague in may. Paying deposit next week x

Wish the hypno worked for me. It worked the first 2 sessions but the operation didnt :-(
 
you are very brave hun, and i know that many people out there feel the desperate need for weight loss surgery, and i understand why!

I hope it all works out for you and you get the results you want..good luck, i look forward to hearing all about it!

Hi I too hope all goes well for you and look forward to hearing about your progress. have you got to lose any weight before you go? Not heard of this type of surgery before so will have to have a look so I know what you are talking about. Take care xx
 
Hi everyone... Thought I'd give u an update, as I'm normally on the wlsurgery site now.. I'm 4 weeks post op and have lost 2 stone...
All went really well and I'm on the soft stage now so eating mushy foods...
In 2 weeks i can start exercising and I will be following the slimming world plans for my very small meals...
I feel a lot happier in myself and very positive for the future xx
