    Clean and Lean

I've decided to start today with the clean and lean diet.

It's a low carb, high protein diet that also cuts out sugar/processed food.

I've bought the James Duigan books and am ready to start after a wknd of excess!

I have been doing weight watchers for a while and it was successful but now I want to try to cut out sugar and processed foods from my diet, clean it up!

I have about one stone to lose

Goals for this week are to try to drink more water, cut down on coffee and have no chocolate or sweets/junk.....this is going to be such a challenge for me as I have chocolate every single day/evening after my dinner!

The diet plan looks good very healthy etc but the only drawback seems to be its quite expensive to buy all the ingredients...loads chicken, salmon avocados berries etc...

Will post first days food later on

    Breakfast

    Sachet microwave oats
    Milk
    Mashed banana
    Spoon natural yogurt
Sprinkle of sesame and pumpkin seeds
    Cinnamon
    A couple of chopped hazelnuts/walnuts
    Drizzle of agave

The clean lean principles say that you should try and include lots of protein in meals to keep you fuller for longer so I had some natural yogurt and nuts/seeds.

This was v tasty not sure about the banana if that's an ok fruit or not...may be a very high sugar one must flick throughout the book again

The agave is a natural sugar substitute we had in house.

Cinnamon is suppose to regulate you sugar levels.

Both my milk and natural yogurt were low fat, only because that's what I had in fridge. I think I might try to switch to organic full fat as James Duigan says in the books that these are good fats that keep you fuller and low fat foods have been modified and additives added to improve taste which is bad for the body.

I'm scared of full fat foods....being a weight watcher on and off for 3/4 years now..it's seems so mad to go out and buy full fat milk and yogurt!

I eat full fat cream, yoghurt, milk(sometimes) and it's not stopped me from losing weight.

“Is this food beneficial to my health and well being?”
If I can ditch the junk so can you.

    Are the books worth buying??
I haven't purchased any yet, was thinking it would be information that I already know... no sugar, processed foods etc..

Yesterday was my first day in ......months...years? To go without a sweet treat like a curly surly or a bar of some kind or haribo etc....am proud of that.

I feel like I ate a lot yesterday compared to my weight watcher self
Must count up the points from yesterday just to see!

I wasn't hungry for breakfast this morning, still feel full from yesterday

    Breakfast

Pink lady apple ( love u pink lady..yum!)
    Few almonds/walnuts
1 coffee with half a teaspoon of sugar...

We have one of those Nespresso machines in work and it feels like treat, plus saves me 3€ as the local coffee shop is an amazing artisan deli mega expensive yummy mummy back from Pilates type place!
I'd love to go there every day but my finances won't allow...

Need to buy stevia to use in coffee it's supposed to be a natural sugar substitute unlike the horrible chemical artificial sweeteners I've used in the past.

Well done, looks like you had a good day.
Are the supplements recommended in the book?
